NASCAR's Official Family Fun Park Along with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® Fulfills Boy's Dream of Meeting a NASCAR Driver
August 14, 2006, Vaughan, Ontario - - - - - - - Kevin Harvick, driver for GM Goodwrench Chevrolet and official NASCAR SpeedPark spokesman, along with NASCAR SpeedPark Vaughan Mills, the official family fun park of NASCAR, hosted ten-year-old Charlie from Bradford for a private meet-and-greet and autograph session on Thursday, August 10.
Charlie's family approached the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Toronto & Central Ontario this year, hoping they could fulfill one of his dreams - to meet a NASCAR driver. Thanks to the help of NASCAR SpeedPark Vaughan Mills, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® was able to fulfill this dream by hosting Charlie at the Park to personally meet one of NASCAR's top drivers, Kevin Harvick.
"Our goal at NASCAR SpeedPark is to fulfill the dreams of NASCAR enthusiasts of all ages," said Domenic Buttiglieri, general manager for NASCAR SpeedPark Vaughan Mills. "By hosting various NASCAR drivers throughout the year, we hope to bring our guests closer to their dreams by actually coming face-to-face with their idols. Being able to grant the wish of young Charlie was so rewarding for us. The image of his face lighting up when Kevin entered the room was a memorable experience for all involved."
