NASCAR SPEEDPARK ST. LOUIS MILLS, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NORTHWEST CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, TO HOST THIRD ANNUAL MINGLE AT THE MILLS

August 29, 2006, St. Louis, Mo. - - - - - - - NASCAR SpeedPark St. Louis Mills, in conjunction with the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, will host the third annual Mingle at the Mills, an outdoor, family friendly event featuring live music, contests and recreational activities, on Friday, September 15 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Offering an array of family activities, Mingle at the Mills will feature live music performed by Terry Beck as well as a tumbling and acrobatic performance by Gateway Kids World. Feld Chevrolet has donated a vehicle to "Smash for Cash" providing attendees who wish to make a donation with the opportunity to "smash" a car. Raffle tickets are also available for $1 a piece with a grand prize being two round trip tickets on American Airlines to any destination within the continental United States.

Mingle at the Mills will also feature a variety of charity races throughout the evening on NASCAR SpeedPark's Family 500 Track. For an entry fee of $100, participants will compete for a variety of grand prizes valued at up to $500 each which will be donated to the charity of their choice.

The evening's grand finale will be the running of the third annual Mayor's Challenge Cup, a 20 lap go-kart race that pits mayors from ten Northwest St. Louis County communities against one other. The race will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will take place on NASCAR SpeedPark's Family 500 track. This year's lineup of mayors includes The Honorable Anita Mason representing Breckenridge Hills; The Honorable Conrad Bowers representing Bridgeton; The Honorable T.R. Carr representing Hazelwood; The Honorable Ann Puzner representing Overland; The Honorable Carrie Cafazza representing St. Ann; The Honorable Lee Taylor representing St. John; The Honorable Virginia Bira representing Vinita Park; The Honorable James Beekman representing Charlack; The Honorable Delores McCombs representing Edmundson; and The Honorable Lawrence "Butch" Besmer representing Woodson Terrace. Raffle tickets for the race are currently on sale and may be purchased from all participating mayors. The mayor with the largest number of raffle tickets sold will win the starting pole position for the evening's final race. All those who purchase a ticket will also be entered into the Mingle at the Mills raffle for a chance to win two round-trip tickets on American Airlines.

Mingle at the Mills is a family event and is open to the public. In conjunction with the event, NASCAR SpeedPark St. Louis Mills will offer a discounted rate of $12 for their Daily Ride Passes of which $2 will be donated to the Northwest Chamber of Commerce.
