SPEEDPARK FACTS:
NASCAR SpeedPark offers racing thrills in Myrtle Beach, SC and Sevierville, TN.
NASCAR SpeedPark now has two exciting locations. The first park, located
in Myrtle Beach, SC opened in July, 1998 and the second park, NASCAR
SpeedPark Smoky Mountains located in Sevierville, TN opened in May,
1999. The next park will open in the Charlotte, NC area in early 2002.
As an official licensee by NASCAR (National Association for Stock
Car Auto Racing), NASCAR SpeedPark is a pure NASCAR entertainment
facility designed to bridge the gap between go-kart family entertainment
venues and the professional NASCAR circuit. NASCAR SpeedPark is an
interactive fan attraction that puts the fan in the driver's seat.
The NASCAR theme is consistent throughout the NASCAR SpeedPark where fans will see gigantic photos as well as authentic racing memorabilia around the tracks.
All NASCAR SpeedPark tracks combine the excitement of NASCAR racing with the state-of-the-art features found in modern theme parks. All NASCAR-style cars come standard with padded headrests and three point harnesses.
NASCAR SpeedPark will host periodic visits by official spokespersons
Jeff Gordon, Dale Jarrett, Rusty Wallace, and Tony Stewart.
Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc., a developer and operator of tourism
and entertainment facilities in Myrtle Beach for more than 100 years,
is the worldwide licensee for NASCAR SpeedParks (except in Southern
California and Nevada). Each NASCAR SpeedPark will be tailored in
size and nature to fit the community in which it is located. |
